This will be my last update for my niche site project on this blog.
You could say this is a sad day, but for me, it’s actually a big relief!

Keep reading to learn why I won’t be posting anymore updates, for the time-being…
I Don’t Give Up That Easy
Back in September 2018, I published an article called – Who Else Wants to Build a Blog Empire and Make $5,000 Per Month? – which outlined my intention to build a blog empire (or a bunch of niche websites) that I would grow to bring in $5,000 per month.
I also wrote a little about my struggle with fear, commitment and information overload some 7-8 years ago.
Unfortunately, I didn’t realise I was struggling with those things at the time and I was only made aware of them a few years ago back in 2016.
Since then, I’ve studied a lot about the problems many entrepreneurs face when starting and launching a business and putting their work out there for the public to see.
The amount I have learned about myself in this time is quite frankly, mind blowing! It has literally changed me into a different person!
This new found self awareness and personal growth is an ongoing process that I never prepare on giving up. That’s why I chose personal development as my niche site topic when I launched it in November 2018.
Maybe it was the wrong niche to choose for my public case study or maybe I just haven’t dedicated enough time into it – or both?
But one thing I’m sure about is, I won’t be giving up on it!
Work Goes On
So I will still be working on this niche website, but as of today, I won’t be posting anymore updates.
The main reasons are because I’m working on other projects (and other areas of my life) which limits the amount of time I can work on my niche website which means very slow growth.
It ultimately means boring content that no one can really learn anything from and loss of my enthusiasm, motivation and sanity.
This doesn’t mean you want be hearing from me…
I’ll be posting on this blog way more often with what I intended this blog to be about in the first place – How to create the ultimate business website with WordPress.
I’ll also be posting tutorials on YouTube and building out an entire membership site over at WPConfidence.co so go subscribe to my YouTube channel and sign up to my mailing list for updates when I start launching courses 😉
In the meantime, I wish you all the luck with your own niche websites and I would like to thank you for following me on this journey.
It won’t be the last you’ll hear of it!
I’ve learned that fear limits you and your vision. It serves as blinders to what may be just a few steps down the road for you. The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Here’s my update for April 2019.
Niche Site Performance
Here’s the Google Analytics report for April 2019:
So April’s traffic was 86 visits from 64 people and 105 page views.
Here’s the difference from March’s traffic:
March had 207 visits from 180 people and 240 page views.
As you can see, my traffic has dropped quite a substantial amount although the fact that these numbers aren’t anything to brag about, I’m not that disheartened.
Even though I won’t be publishing these updates anymore, I will still be making progress with my niche site. Here are my plans going forward:
- Develop a weekly writing habit
- Update original articles
- Be more active on social media sites (mainly Pinterest and Instagram)
- Refine and narrow my content to just a few topics
- Research and produce content from KGR keywords
- Create more buyer related content
Obviously my processes will change and develop over time but this is a general plan of what I’ll be working on over the coming months.
Maybe I’ll do a big niche site update in six months time, hopefully with substantial growth to report.
Thanks again for following me on this journey. It’s been a big learning curve and the start of something I’m passionate about that I’m sure will only turn into something special.
All the best, Steve.
